It is 10 minutes from the Tripoli - Kalamata National Road, fifteen minutes from Tripoli and 40 minutes from Kalamata. It is located in a verdant environment with areas wooded with holly and oak trees. Part of these lands is the Prophet Elias wildlife sanctuary of 14,500 acres. The area supplies with its streams the upper reaches of the Alfeios river and the tributary of the Elissonas.
