This project is located at the foot of Profiti Ilia - Kastella hill, at the entrance of Piraeus. It is a semi-detached house, within the densely built urban area of ​​Piraeus which is characterized by a strong slope, but also comfortable visual escapes - views towards the Saronic Gulf and the urban fabric of metropolitan Athens. A problem and a challenge at the same time is the need for all-day natural light inside the building, due to the given (by legislation) quality characteristics (orientation, size, low height). Thus the shell acquires transparency/transparency on the main view and invites natural light inside while at the same time "opening" to the open view (sea). In terms of design, minimal lines were chosen in combination with an industrial character that is emphasized by the use of visible concrete and metal elements on the facades (railings), while inside there are also fun (funky) elements with intense colors. At the same time, levels are created that zone the space according to use.
