The extraordinary rocky terrain, combined with the clever integration of the villa into the landscape, naturally inspired the concept of geology as a narrative’ says Dixon. ‘We worked closely with Praxitelis Kondylis from A31 Architecture to incorporate geological elements into the project. From a dining room adorned with aluminium, to bedrooms featuring plaster bedframes with soil from the site and local marble, the villa is a tribute to the rich textures of Mykonos’ natural environment. Design Research Studio’s signature style shines through bespoke crafted pieces, including a unique paper mache sculpture and wooden totems designed specifically for AIMASIA. Brutalist, Luxurious and Practical. AIMASIA is not only a celebration of craftsmanship but also offers practical, luxurious features. The villa boasts a main kitchen with a stunning stone island and an outdoor bespoke BBQ kitchen, complemented by an impressive wine cellar. The six bedrooms, including one detached suite, are accompanied by expansive views of the surrounding Elia landscape. Two of the bedrooms include private pools, and the main building houses a large, serene pool that overlooks the Aegean Sea.
