There are also IEK and SEK, in which four specialties were taught during the period 2017-2018, as well as the Laboratory Center (EK) of Amfissa. The city is home to the Department of Regional and Economic Development of the Agricultural University of Athens. Amfissa is the seat of all Public Services, has a modern State Hospital, a Court of First Instance, a Prisoners' Prefectural Office and houses the KTEL of the Prefecture of Phocis. The upper square (Kechagia) of the city was the intellectual and artistic center of Phocis, while the lower square or square (Isaiah), in honor of the homonymous bishop and national hero, is the essential center of the city where the Intellectual Center is located, while it gathers a multitude of shops. Amfissa also has a hotel and many traditional taverns.
