Description.
The Municipality of Nea Makris was a municipality of Eastern Attica which operated between 1990-2010, when it was abolished with the implementation of the self-governing Kallikratis Program. It was located on the eastern coast of Attica between the Municipalities of Marathon and Rafina. It consisted of a municipal district, occupied an area of 36,662 km2 and its population, according to the 2001 Census, amounted to 14,809 inhabitants.[1] The seat of the municipality was Nea Makri.
