Description.
Excellent transformation of a three-storey building, from the late ‘50s, into a modern building, which is an example of how a post-war building can be preserved and at the same time integrated into the modern urban fabric. The building, with an area of 710 sq.m., is located in Kypseli, very close to Fokionos Negri street, close to schools, market, recreational areas & means of transport. It houses 9 apartments, on five levels in total. All apartments are front facing, bright and airy. Each of the eight apartments has two bedrooms, a comfortable open-plan living room with kitchen & bathroom. The apartments on the 1st & 2nd floor have balconies. The ninth apartment is a penthouse with one bedroom, comfortable living room open plan with kitchen, bathroom & private terrace. At the building's ground floor there is a specially designed parking space for one car. The external condition of the building, maintaining Art Deco influences, combines the architectural glamor of the old with the necessary construction interventions of a new building (eg enhanced statics, external insulation, energy efficient aluminum frames with triplex glazing windows, reinforced balconies, perimeter load-bearing masonry applied to the structural framework of the building). Internally, the building was completely renovated to meet the modern needs of its occupants (e.g. intermediate insulation with rockwool, switch wiring around the perimeter, heat pumps for heating and cooling, cement floors & parquet).
